About Leanne
“How deep would you like to go? Let me be your guide.”
Teaching Pilates is infinitely more than just a career; it’s a practice and a service that allows my soul, my skills and my desire for a good life to expand and evolve.
I love helping people build the strength, confidence and endurance that I first experienced as a competitive athlete. From gymnastics and ballet to sky diving, It’s been my life goal to learn more and share it with everyone. My early years were filled with lots of outdoor time that influenced my teaching: family river rafting trips, exploring my cousin’s 1000-acre homestead in the Mendocino mountains, and trail running in Indian valley. It’s no surprise that, after many years managing technology, I returned to what I know and love best: working out so that I can rock climb, hike and camp…outside!
After leaving the media production profession in 2004, I certified in Pilates, yoga and massage. I studied shamanic journeying, Mayan Fire Ceremony, anatomy, and Rumi. My ever-evolving style includes acupressure and muscle activation technique, which aids in dissolving old patterns and rebuilding postural strength and balance. I use breath work, fascia release and somatic coaching to help people redefine their relationship to pain so they can work deeper, smarter and more efficiently; essential skills for aging gracefully.
I guide both women and men to experience their hormonally-challenged bodies (and lives) with the vigor and wonder of their inner child and the wisdom of their higher selves.
I firmly believe that it’s at the crossroad of nature and movement where stress is best managed and we can connect to something greater than ourselves. As a teacher and intuitive healer, I feel this is the sweet spot where souls thrive and the imagination is fulfilled. It is my mission to help people build stamina and strength so they can materialize their wildest dreams and adventures long into their golden years!
May you live well and prosper!
