Hi, I’m Leanne

I’ve been working out and teaching others to build strength and confidence in their bodies for 17 years.  I discovered Pilates in 1992 and then certified in Pilates, yoga and massage after getting burned out in technology.  While studying acupressure, myofacial release techniques and physical pathologies, I also studied with mystics and nature lovers who taught that the path to self love was through appreciating nature and acknowledging others. After a rough menopause, I settled into teaching Pilates after a 16 – year career in high-tech and video production and never looked back as the infinite possibility of the mind-body connection continues to inspire and drive my inner sensitive/healer/teacher.  I have experience helping people set plans and measure goals on the one hand, and I help people heal and build confidence on the other.  I continue to add to my understanding of body mechanics and the mind-body connection by practicing, studying, and maintaining my connection to the trees.  I am committed to assisting women before, during and after The Pause and remind them that their best years are always in their future.

Make Your Own Opportunities

I’ve worked with hundred’s of people in the last 17 years helping them to get out of pain, get strong and keep it together through ski season, COVID and challenging phases in life.  When I started, I focused on teaching exercises.  Thankfully, the Pilates system is tried and true and if people just follow the standard protocol, they will get stronger, more flexible, more focused and more coordinated.  These are some of the core principles that “doing Pilates” promises.

As I mature in my practice and in life, I’ve also learned to observe not only what people are doing but how they do it in their particular way. Pointing out how their innate sensibilities contribute to their empowerment and physical strength and watching people become their own coach and healer has been the juice that keeps me going. As time goes on, integrating movement with motivational support has become a hallmark of my how I coach.  I’ve witnessed  hundreds of people learn to trust themselves more as they grow stronger.  I will never grow tired of helping people learn beyond the exercise as they integrate and expand their thinking and feeling gifts, dream bigger, and create  opportunities that weren’t there before.   

Learning to live powerfully, comfortably and confidently in our amazing human body is a journey I hope everyone chooses to take!
